These are a couple questions for both information and discussion…

1. This is kind of for the leaders. Are we going to have some one at camp who is going to teach us about the culture in Swaziland? I know last year we did and camp was full of people who had been in Swazi already and knew what it was like there, and I’m sure there will be while we are at camp too. If there isn’t anyone there…I could do my best to come up with a bit about the culture and things like that.

2. I know there are two people that know how to play guitar…I think Bekah knows how…and Peter I know for sure can lead worship with his guitar…I was just wondering if either of you had decided on bringing one yet.

3. Language- I would love to share with you guys and girls some words that I learned when I was there last time. Shannon has a huge list and I can look over those as well and see which ones we used most! It’s really going to be a lot easier when we get there…because our translators can help us out.

Yeah…just comment back and hopefully we can get some things set in stone. Maybe you guys talked about this at the conference call??? If you did….I guess this will allow my self and others who missed it to get filled in.

Thanks,
Rob

  1. I love the hymns, a couple of my favorites are “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name and All Creatures of our God and King” along with many others

  2. Does anyone like hymns? I take it we all like contemporary music to some degree…but I like hymns a lot as well. I plan on bring a hymn book with to use once in a while if someone has a favorite hymn

  3. I like hymns a lot too!.. i like really old ones though…. like…. do lord and i’ll fly away….:)

  4. 1) Yes, we will have cultural training here in GA.
    2) I would definitely recommend someone bringing a guitar. Check with the airlines, but there’s a rumor going around that you can check a musical instrument for free and it doesn’t count as one of your 2 checked bags. That could be a great deal!

  5. I aactually have thought about bringing a guitar. But I know Peter said he was bringing one… so then i figure I’ll just let him do his thing and I’ll just, not.

  6. sweet…I’m glad that there are some more people that like hymns….although the book I have doesn’t really have the old like gospel songs i guess you could call them…like the ones that Hannah was talking about.
